Terms of service
The short version: real deals only, fees buy placement not approval, be genuine in the community, and your purchases are with the makers. See also the privacy policy.
1. Who we are
First Launch (firstlaunch.promo) is operated by D-EFFCON Pty Ltd, an Australian company. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Using the site, creating an account, subscribing, listing a product, or claiming a listing means you accept them.
2. What the site does
First Launch is a directory of newly launched products whose launch promotions meet our eligibility bar: a discount of 25% or more, free access for at least one month, or a lifetime deal. We curate and publish deal information; we do not sell the products, process their payments, or guarantee their behaviour. Every purchase you make from a listed product is between you and that product's maker.
3. Deal accuracy
We list promotions in good faith with the terms the maker (or our sourcing pipeline) supplied, including an end date where one exists. Deals can change or end without notice. If a listed deal is wrong or no longer honoured, use the report link on the listing — we investigate and correct or remove listings that misrepresent their offer.
4. Founder submissions and fees
Submitting a product is free; publication of a self-serve submission requires approval and a one-off listing fee (currently US$5 for 7 days or US$19 for 30 days of placement). You are invoiced only after approval and nothing publishes until the invoice is paid. Fees buy placement time in browse, home, feeds and newsletter pools — they never buy approval, and they are not refundable once a listing has gone live. Listings may be declined or removed for breaching the eligibility bar, misrepresenting the product, or violating these terms; declined submissions are not charged.
By submitting, you confirm you are authorised to represent the product, the deal terms are accurate, and visitors arriving from First Launch will receive them.
5. Sourced (scraped) listings and claims
Some listings are created by our sourcing pipeline from public launch announcements. They are clearly attributed, free, never behind a payment wall, and expire 30 days after publication. If a sourced listing is your product, you can claim it at no cost by proving control of its domain; claiming grants editing (subject to re-review), announcements, engagement data and the badge. If you want a sourced listing corrected or removed instead, email support@firstlaunch.promo — makers' removal requests are honoured.
6. Accounts and community
Accounts use Google sign-in or email magic links. You are responsible for activity on your account. Reactions, comments and reports must be your genuine opinion — no vote rings, spam, harassment, or link schemes. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. Comments you post stay attributed to you until you delete them; deleting your account anonymises your comments and removes your reactions and follows.
7. The badge
Claimed and founder listings may embed the "Featured on First Launch" badge on their own site. The badge must link to the listing without tracking manipulation, and may not be used to imply endorsement of anything beyond the listed product.
8. Liability
The site is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law — including the Australian Consumer Law, whose statutory guarantees are not excluded — D-EFFCON Pty Ltd is not liable for losses arising from your use of a listed product, a deal changing or ending, or interruptions to the site itself.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are dated here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. This page was last updated on 1 August 2026.
